Hey, you can try this next time you have a big money game against your buddies. Tell them your shot may be 15 yards into thick brush 30 yards left of the fairway, but because there’s a TIO in the way you don’t have to look for it because you get free drop and all’s good. 7 – Not all misses are the same

To miss a 6-foot, right-to-left putt doesn’t feel like a total bummer – if it’s on the high side. But let it slip by on the low side and man, you want to go bury your head in the bunker.

8 – Good means don’t putt it

If you’re told your 2-footer is good, please pick it up. Don’t be that guy who knows it’s been conceded but opts to putt it anyway, then misses and still acts like the concession stands.

Don’t you love those high-handicappers who consistently shoot good scores in tournaments and curiously only keep bad recreational rounds on their GHIN handicap network? Of course you don’t.
